Chris McKay is an exobiologist and field researcher at NASA's Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, California. Chris is one of the worlds foremost researchers on the current and past climatology of Mars. In order to better understand the potential for life on other worlds such as Mars or Saturn's moon Titan, Chris has also traveled extensively to tundra, deserts, and frigid ice fields all over the globe to gain a greater understanding of how life functions in harsh environmental conditions. For over 20 years, Chris McKay has been an important planner and advocate for a manned mission to Mars. Chris received his doctorate in AstroGeophysics from the University of Colorado in 1982.
